Conergy appoints Dr. Andreas von Zitzewitz as the new board member for Production, Purchasing and Supply Chain and the Components Division

Hamburg, December 23,2008 – The Supervisory Board of Conergy AG hasappointed Dr. Andreas von Zitzewitz (48) starting January 1,2009 as a member of the Board.In this position he will be responsible for the Production, Purchasing and Supply Chain departments as well as the Components Division.Von Zitzewitz, who has been withConergy Solarmodule GmbH since March 1, 2008, has been managing the Components Division, with the areas of Development, Production and Marketing of modules, inverters and mounting systems, and he will continue in this position.He will take over his new area of responsibility of Purchasing and Supply Chain from Philip von Schmeling, who, as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), will then concentrate exclusively on the area of sales, which is becoming increasingly important to Conergy, and marketing.
