Investor “Financière de Champlain” increases its stake in Conergy

The French investment fund “Financière de Champlain”, headquartered in Paris, has informed the Board of Management of the Conergy AG, that it has increased its stake in Conergy to 3.26 %. “Financière de Champlain” was founded in 2003 by Jean-Francois Descaves, and has already been a minority shareholder in Conergy, the Hamburg-based solar energy company since the company’s initial public offering in March 2005. The fund specializes in investments in the sustainable development sector. 

“We are convinced that Conergy will be successful again in the medium term and have therefore used this attractive opportunity to make a long-term investment”, says the founder and president of “Financière de Champlain”, Jean-Francois Descaves. Dieter Ammer, CEO of the Conergy AG, adds: “We are pleased about every investor who supports our business model in the long-term and who, in addition, like “Financière de Champlain”, has extensive knowledge of the sector.”

In addition, as reported on Monday, the board members Dieter Ammer, Pepyn Dinandt, and Philipp von Schmeling have also bought Conergy shares. Ammer, who bought 100,000 shares at a price of 17.56 € a piece, now holds 10.8 % of the company. Dinandt has for the first time purchased 2,800 shares for a price of 17.75 € each. Von Schmeling purchased 5,000 shares at a price of 17.80 €.
